Gas burner maintenance and usage
Note for daily use (priority to safety)
– Pre-start check: 1. Check whether the gas pipe valve is leaking (apply soapy water to the interface, no bubbles are normal); 2. Clean the vent and surrounding debris (such as carbon deposits and dust) of the nozzle to avoid blockage; 3. Check whether the wind door and ignition electrodes are properly positioned and the wiring is not loose.
– Monitoring in operation: Observe the flame color (normal: blue in the atmosphere, light blue in the complete premixed mode, orange blue in the diffuse mode). If yellow flames and black smoke appear, the wind door needs to be adjusted to increase the air volume; If the flame flashes and returns to fire (with a “popcorn”) shut off the gas immediately, check the mixture or replace the anti-return valve.
– Shutdown operation: First shut down the gas main valve, when the remaining gas in the nozzle is burned, then shut down the fan or the power supply to avoid gas residue.
Common Fault Repair (Core Fault Handling)
Failure phenomenon Possible causes Maintenance methods
Failing to set fire 1. Lack of gas pressure; 2. The ignition electrode is damaged; 3. Nozzle blockage 1. Check the gas valve openness and contact the gas supplier; 2. Replace electrodes; 3. Remove the nozzle with a thin wire
The flame is yellow / smoking 1. There is insufficient air (the windgate is too small); 2. Gas impurities are abundant 1. Increase the wind door until the flame turns blue; 2. Clean the gas filter
Recurring fire (reverse ignition) 1. Too much air; 2. The mix tube is too long; 3. Preventing the failure of the flame valve 1. Reduce the inlet; 2. Shorten the mixing tube; 3. Replace the anti-fire valve
Unstable combustion 1. Gas pressure fluctuations; 2. The wind turbine wind speed is unstable 1. Install a pressure stabilizer; 2. Spare the wind turbine or adjust the wind speed
Main points of regular maintenance
– Weekly: Clean the surface of the nozzle and the nozzle of carbon and check the sealability of the gas interface.
– Monthly: Check the ignition system (the spacing of electrodes, the strength of the spark), and the flexibility of the wind door adjustment mechanism.
Quarterly: Replace the filter element, check the anti-backfire device and mud relief valve.
– Each year: Cleaning the nozzle completely by dismantling it, testing for thermal efficiency, and replacing aging seals (such as rubber gaskets) when necessary.
